Some of the active compounds found within include: Artepillin-C, an antioxidant that is believed to have extremely potent antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, and anti-ulcer properties. Caffeic Acid Phenethyl Ester (CAPE), which has been shown to be partially responsible for propolis’ anti-inflammatory properties.
