The adrenal glands rest just above the kidneys. These glands secrete cortisol, and stimulate our bodies to produce progesterone and testosterone, among other hormones. Adrenal fatigue occurs when the adrenal glands function below normal levels. Stress can cause adrenal fatigue. There are a variety of supplements, including vitamins, minerals and hormones recommended to ease adrenal fatigue.
