CHAGA is a slow maturing mushroom growing primarily on birch trees, obtaining nutrients from its host and making these nutrients available to us as food. Chaga resembles a piece of burnt charcoal and therefore it is sometimes referred to as “tinder mushroom”.
Throughout history, wild chaga has been most widely consumed as a naturally caffeine-free tea. This delicious tea has a subtle woodsy vanilla flavour, and is hand picked in the wild Canadian boreal forest of Ontario and Quebec by our friend. He chooses only mature chaga on mature birch trees, thereby preserving the beauty of the forest and helping to restore the health of the ecosystem. Showing gratitude towards each tree, he communicates his intent to share this gift with those who chose to use it.
GY CHAGA arrives to you in an amber glass bottle with dropper.
GY Chaga 1:1 Dual Extract is made using a double extraction process; 50% pure grain alcohol extract combined with 50% hot water extract. Our supplier uses 1 part fresh and dried chaga to 1 part ethanol/water creating a very powerful extract. Most extracts sold today are much less potent, being 1:5 (1 part mushroom to 5 parts liquid), and using farmed mushrooms. The ethanol Victor uses is non-GMO grain ethanol and very potent, more potent than cane alcohol, and 100% ethanol so no grain residue remains.
Dual Extract Ingredients: Wild harvested Canadian Chaga (Inonotus Obliquus), 95% ethanol, spring water.
Suggested Use for Dual Extract: Take 10 drops - 1 dropper under the tongue or in water/tea/smoothies/juice etc. May be increased to 10 drops - 1 dropper 3 x per day if desired. Use in addition to Chaga tea. May be used topically as a natural disinfectant and for easing certain skin conditions. Shake well before use.
