WHAT ARE PROBIOTICS AND WHAT DO THEY DO?The human body is a walking ecosystem: There are ten times more microbial cells living on the surfaces of our bodies — both inner and outer — than there are human cells.(1) Also known as ‘friendly’ bacteria, the probiotics that live in our digestive tract protect us from harmful bacteria. INGREDIENTS:
Udo’s Choice® Super 5 Lozenge Probiotic blend contains the following human-adapted medicinal probiotic strains: Lactobacillus acidophilus HA-122 (60%†); Lactobacillus casei HA-108 (15%†); Bifidobacterium bifidum HA-132 (15%†); Lactobacillus rhamnosus HA-111 (5%†); Lactobacillus salivarius HA-118 (5%†). Non-medicinal ingredients: maltodextrin, xylitol, microcrystalline cellulose, natural raspberry flavor, ascorbic acid (as an antioxidant), citric acid, magnesium stearate, and silicon dioxide (to keep dry/ prevent damage to probiotics). Sweetened with 1 gram of dried organic cane juice.
SUGGESTED USE:
Dissolve 1-2 lozenges gently in mouth, after each meal. To get the most oral benefit, never chew the tablet. Instead, let the tablet slowly dissolve in your mouth to access the greatest number of probiotics and get the greatest benefit in the upper digestive tract (mouth, esophagus, stomach).
CORRECT STORAGE:
Always keep refrigerated. At your local health food store or supermarket, you will always find it in the cooler. Refrigeration ensures maximum potency and stability of live bacterial cells, and guarantees number of cells listed at date of expiration on the label. Freeze to increase stability and prolong potency. For each day without refrigeration (at room temperature), about 1% of the viable cells will be lost.
