EDEN Organic Yellow Mustard is organic yellow mustard seed grown on family farms in the cool high plains of Saskatchewan by those committed to vital soil, cleansing the environment, and producing the safest most nutritious food. Simply the best ingredients, skillful preparation, and a traditional recipe. Mildly spicy and naturally sweet the way real yellow mustard is supposed to be. Handy, child friendly plastic squeeze bottle that's made of #4 recyclable, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) that's bisphenol-A (BPA) free.

Expertly crafted with over a hundred years experience at a family owned business. Organic whole, yellow mustard seed Brassica alba with mild heat and mellow sweetness is hammer milled and mixed with organic raw apple cider vinegar, organic turmeric, organic paprika, organic garlic, and a bit of our finest Portuguese sea salt. The blended ingredients are stone milled and allowed to rest 48 hours to let it meld and mellow before packing in glass.

Commercial yellow mustard is made with inexpensive mustard bran or a combination of seeds and bran. They contain artificial coloring, synthetic additives, harsh salt, refined sugar, and irradiated spices. Most mustard, including those labeled organic, contain distilled vinegar, an acetic acid concoction derived from petrochemicals and the coal tar industry.

EDEN organic apple cider vinegar contains 'mother', friendly bacteria present only in the finest and most healthful non-pasteurized raw vinegar. Our sea salt is from environmentally protected, pristine saltwater marshes of Portugal, triple sea water washed without depleting precious trace minerals. EDENselected spices are certified organic and not irradiated.

Mustard is a member of the cabbage Cruciferae family. It's been used as a healing herb throughout history and is one of the world's most ancient spices. Five centuries before the birth of Jesus, Pythagorus, the Greek mathematician and philosopher wrote of mustard's health promoting qualities. Mustard was used widely in China and Africa centuries earlier. Jesus immortalized mustard seed in His famous quote Matthew 17:19-21 where he says, "I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible to you."

Researchers have found vegetables of the Cruciferae family, including mustard greens, mustard seeds, daikon, horseradish, and wasabi (Japanese horseradish) contain important sulfur compounds. Research conducted at John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore found that the isothiocyanate compounds in these foods protect us by activating enzymes in the liver. The tocopherols in mustard are antioxidants.
